The term Granite is used for
a wide variety of hard stones with different mineralogical
properties. Granites susceptibility
to staining varies depending on the density of the stone
and ranges from not sensitive to highly sensitive.
| Granite properties:
• Highly scratch resistant.
• Dark colors are slightly porous and require
a penetrative sealer.
• Light colors are reasonably porous and require
1 or 2 extra coats of sealer.
• Resistant to mild acids (Such as food and
drink).
• Recommended for kitchen and bathroom benchtops.

Penetrative sealers are designed to reduce capillary action
and thus slow down the penetration of staining liquids.
Spilled liquids should be wiped up and not left on benchtops.
